It had taken years upon years of waiting but the Black Fairy plotted and manipulated every step meticulously. She merely waited for it all to fall into place. Sitting in her chambers, the Black Fairy's mind began to wonder to the past.
Fiona had given birth not but a little over a week prior, and now sat humming to her sleeping son, watching him closely and protectively. So many thoughts ran through her mind. It hadn't been but a few days ago that her son's fairy godmother had appeared to her informing her of her son's fate. Most mother's would have gladly accepted the news of her son being a savior, but the more the fairies told her, she knew that that was not the life she wanted for her child. The fate that would eventually end in his death. The thought to Fiona meant the end of everything precious. Though the fairies had told her of her son's fate of being the savior, what they didn't know what that deep down, Fiona knew something that they didn't. She was to be the cause of her son's life. The final battle, as they called it, was to be against her and that was something she wasn't going to allow. While the fairies had been away, she had gotten every book possible from them on fairy history. Fiona wasn't going to let this happen. Upon reading, Fiona began to get ideas and stashed them away for when she knew she would need them. The first idea was that of turning herself into a Fairy. None had ever done it, but she had found an ancient spell that would make it work. As Tiger Lily, her son's fairy godmother, had arrived with more books, she tricked her into putting down her wand. It was then that Fiona took it and said the incantation, turning herself into a fairy.
Now that she was a Fairy, she had a mission that she had to see to. Making Tiger Lily take her to the secret Vaults of the Fairies, Fiona got to work and began to gather ingredients. As she did so, Tiger Lily began to grow suspicious and looked at the "spell" that Fiona was working on. It was in fact not a spell at all but a Curse. Confronting Fiona, Fiona explained that that was the only way for her to save her son. To take him to a land without magic, but in her fury due to Tiger Lily trying to stop her, she suddenly thrust her hand into Tiger Lily's chest and pulled out her heart. In an instant, her clothes and wings changed to black forever changing her. It was then that Blue showed up and banished Fiona to her current realm where she was now trying to escape.
Pulling her thoughts back to the present, she poured herself a drink and checked on the time. Her contact in Storybrooke would be coming to her aide at any moment. All of her plans had worked so perfectly, she would soon see her plan come to fruition. A bright light catching Fiona's eye made her only smile and down the rest of her drink. It was time. Her several but short trips into that land weren't wasted.
Her thoughts wondering yet again to only a few weeks ago. The Black Fairy flew above all the trees and around the town. Though she didn't have too much time, she wanted to see what her Curse had brought forth. It seemed that whoever cast it, wasted all the work she had done, but she wouldn't worry about that now. Diving down into the trees, the Black Fairy flew to the meeting spot and grew to her larger size, shaking her wings to their hiding spot.
"I'm happy to see my trust in you was worth it all." She chuckled. "The Savior has all that she needs, it's now up to you to see the rest of my plan out. The clock tower is where all magic is most powerful. That is where it must be done. Wait until the sword begins to glow then cut into the fabric of space and time. It is then I'll make my entrance." She explained then stepped close. "Don't disappoint me. I'm far more powerful than you think you know." She added. Her contact nodded and smiled then the two parted ways.
Seeing the light grow brighter, the Black Fairy waved her hands in the air disappearing in a black cloud of smoke and transported through the portal to her freedom. No more short stays.
"Freedom!" She laughed maniacally then slid her hands down her sides as she took in a deep breath. "Now, let's go kill us a Savior." She smirked and headed down and out of the clock tower.
