Name: Dalton Morell
FC: Jon Bernthal
Occupation: Thief, Assassin, (Pre Curse) Technician (Post Curse)
Traits: Bold, Confident, Lacks a moral conscience, Loyal when finding someone deserving of it (Rare), Doesn't put much thought into things, does what he wants and what seems 'right' to him.
Goals: To be bloody rich.
Ships: None.
Pre-Curse: Dalton grew up poor and began stealing at a young age in attempt to help his struggling parents. This behavior, however, was reprimanded by his strict father who tried to teach his child that "stealing was wrong." This was a concept Dalton could never understand.. if you really wanted something, if you needed something, shouldn't you be able to just take it? This was simply how his mind worked. As soon as he was able, Dalton left home with the mindset that he wouldn't waste time on morals or anyone who would hold him back.
Upon leaving, it was surprisingly easy to find work for himself. He had a real talent for various illegal activities, going for a more 'steal from the rich, give to whoever the hell is willing to pay most' theme. From petty theft to major heists, Dalton had worked his way up to even full on assassinations. And not so surprisingly, he didn't seem to have any problem taking a life for money. That was until he was put on the biggest job of his life.
/Assassinate the Queen./ Damn.. he must have really built up his reputation if anyone thought he could pull that off. But that was a hell of a lot of money offered.. so worth a shot, right?
For awhile, Dalton watched, stalked, tracked Her Majesty's every move. And he actually found himself to be quite.. a fan..? There was something about the way the woman carried herself, gave orders, pushed for greatness and power in her life. Why would anyone want this woman killed? Actually, no he definitely could see why he was hired for the job. The Queen was fearsome, damn terrifying, she had this kingdom in the palm of her hand. Another thing was that she was very heavily guarded. Not just in the number of guards she had but Regina herself was capable of taking down an army, he had no doubt. However with enough patience.. there was finally an opportunity. Dalton only had to take out a couple of the guards to make his way to her room, putting all his confidence forward as he stepped in for the moment of truth.
"Your highness, I have some information you might like to hear..."
That night, Dalton had made the decision to inform her of the man who was hiring the assassination. Not just giving his name, but more details about where he was located and anyone else associated with him or other plans to kill the queen. Naturally he was taken to be held in a cell as everything was being sorted out, the assassin would've been pissed to hell and back if he ended up getting killed for a job he decided not to do.. but that wasn't how things turned out. Instead as the Queen returned, Dalton was released.. with the promise of future contact should Regina ever need him for personal problems in need of taking care of.
Post Curse:
In the modern day world, Dalton found himself to be a skilled technician, Storybrooke's finest in automotive and electrical repair. He developed a high appreciation for the technology and was good with his work however always felt life was lacking in excitement. The town was rather quiet and peaceful... he hated it. The only thieving he was doing was minor shoplifting and casually swiping what he could from the homes he'd be doing an electrical job on. One trait storybrooke helped him develop was learning how to play the part of a simple, happy go lucky townsperson. Gross and boring...
However once the curse was lifted, everything made sense. No wonder the simple townsperson always felt like a damn act.. it wasn't who he /was./ These illegal behaviors were wired into him, he shouldn't be trying to fight them. Well suddenly.. this town just got a lot more exciting. Being an assassin in their old world was fun but... just imagine all he could pull of with the skills he had learned in this world? Already, Dalton was looking forward to finding out.
