⠀⠀⠀ 🕊 || Hazel colored eyes locked with Mocha brown ones. A small smile appeared on the boys face. He was only a few days old when Regina Mills stepped into that Boston agency and asked to adopt a child. She got her wish, a baby, who was actually the Savior's son. Though she didn't know that at the time. Henry wasn't adaptable as a child. He cried loudly and cried a lot actually. That lasted until his first words. "No" the young boy cried as he tosses his small baby toys at his mother. He was going through a phase of throwing things and temper tantrums. Though, Henry was a lovely child who all of StoryBrooke adored. One day, the crying stopped, the soothing voice of his mother kept him very calm and collected. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀ 🕊 || It was a particularly rainy day in StoryBrooke, Henry was two. The terrible two's, teeth growing but no more tantrums. Henry had tried crawling into bed with his mother but instead could only pull the covers off the Mayor's body. It was Saturday, it seemed like the perfect day to do something. "Mommy, out, Mommy rain," he spoke in a broken baby language but clear enough somehow for his mother. When he tilted his head and sucked on his thumb as his mother looked at her. He was pleading with his eyes until finally, the mayor caved in. A mother-son outing which became absolutely perfect. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀ 🕊 || All bundled up in the outfits fit for rain, the two made the way down to the park, for a rather rainy outing. The small child quickly let go of his mother's hand and up on the play structure that was definitely not that sturdy but he didn't even care. He could tell by the look on Regina's face that it wasn't safe. He wanted to reassure her. So, of course, the young adventurous two-year-old climbed up on the structure to the slide and slid down, into the mud below it. A giggle escaped his lips as he went back and did that multiple times until he got stuck, in the mud. "M...mommy." the young boy cried to get his mother attention as panicked eyes met his in the process. Soon enough the boy was lifted up and rushed home.

⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀ 🕊 || Bathtime, What a favorite thing in the Mills home. Especially if bubbles were involved. The two were giggling as all the mud had disappeared off Henry and finally he was changed into his favorite PJ's which happened to be a monkey onesie. Which doubled as something Henry would wear all the time if ever possible. Going down the steps and crawling across the counter once he was seated on it as his mother made something to drink. It was never coffee, a certain nighttime tradition of drinking hot chocolate with cinnamon while watching the rain. Though hot drinks made Henry's mouth burn, his mother always made sure it was the perfect temperature for him or two. Sitting on the chair in Regina's bedroom watching the rain touch the windows as small fingers tried to catch them. He had no idea that he could touch them, Also insisting Mommy should make the sky not cry anymore. A child filled with imagination.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀ 🕊 || After a few sips of chocolate, and a story of Nursery Rhymes, Henry had fallen asleep so quickly in his mothers arms. The sound of rain was the only thing keeping the child asleep. His very tiny frame curled up against Regina's, the cover keeping them bundled up and warm. What a perfect way to end a rainy day.
